In Tribute to the Great Watchmaker: Graham Chronofighter Diver
If you wish that your name lives forever in memory, just make a breakthrough in watchmaking industry. This recipe works for two great watchmakers of the past - Nicolas Rieussec and George Graham. In tribute to the first one, known as the inventor of the first chronograph, Montblanc created a watch series. The second one, an influential English clockmaker, was the man after whom one of watchmaking companies, Graham, was named.
Though the brand does not have formal connection to the long-deceased inventor and was created fourteen years ago, they are tied by a spiritual bond which finds expression in Graham watches. One of the watches that embodies the spirit of the brand is the Graham Chronofighter Diver.
The Graham Chronofighter Diver is a conventional chronograph timepiece with a 24-hour and 30-minute counters displayed in sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock. The chronograph functions are set by an unusual trigger-shaped push-piece on the left side of an imposing 50mm case. Apparently, the designers of the watch have a liking for large details – the two Arabic numerals “12” and “6” are also oversized. The hour markers and hands are coated with luminescent paint that is clearly visible in low light conditions.
The case of the Graham Chronofighter Diver features a stainless steel helium valve which ensures that the watch is water resistant to 1,000 feet. The timepiece is provided with a rubber strap featuring a double security buckle for comfort and additional safety. The watch is powered by a self winding movement having a power reserve of 42 hours.

It is worth noting that people who became rich long ago do not wear Rolex. Rolex is the choice of those who strive for success. They dream exactly of Rolex watches.
What is the reason for so great popularity? Of course, first of all this is the highest quality of watches that are released by the brand. Secondly, this is the marketing strategy that always was fantastically successful. Rolex watches underwent a great number of tests and experience, the watches were used in various expeditions where they had to withstand numbers of dives as well as extreme temperatures. This way Rolex wanted to prove to the whole world that its watches are the best. It managed to do this.
Bvlgari Carbongold Quartz Chrono: A Hard-to-obtain Timepiece
There is a simple way to increase demand – just to limit distribution of a highly desired object. True luxury lies in “one of a kind” and “limited edition”. It is not enough to create a good product – it should be unique and individual.
Marketing experts of Bvlgari seem to know this secret. In 2005, the company launched the Bvlgari Carbongold Quartz Chrono, available only in nine stores of the brand. The timepiece comes in 27 versions, with the name of one of 27 cities written across its dial. The number “27” is not accidentally chosen – it symbolizes 27 cities where BVLGARI has stores.
Each version of the watch is produced in a limited edition of 999 pieces. The timepieces are individually marked with a number, so they are of interest to collectors.
What all the versions of the timepiece share is the carbon fiber case. Other things can vary – some parts of the Bvlgari Carbongold Quartz Chrono can be made from yellow, pink or white gold.
Boasting full chronograph functions, the black matte dial of the watch features three additional counters and a date display window at 4 o’clock. The baton markers and Arabic numerals are hand-applied, while the hour and minute hands are coated with a luminescent substance.
The signature “BVLGARI” is engraved on the bezel of the timepiece, like on every watch produced by the brand. The round carbon fibre case is paired with a calf leather strap featuring a carbon buckle.
